Labouré College Commencement 2014

Laboure-Graduate-1000-ffccccccWhite-3333-0.20.3-1.png On Saturday, May 10, the Class of 2014 Commencement Ceremony was held at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross in Boston. Sister Jacquelyn McCarthy RN, CSJ and an alumna of Labouré College, was the keynote speaker. Sister Jacquelyn is the Chief Executive Officer and Administrator at Bethany Health Care Center in Framingham. In her address to the graduates, Sister Jacquelyn encouraged the graduates to pursue their careers in health care as caring, knowledgeable professionals who express their pride in being alumni of Labouré College.

Lisa Lam, a graduate of the Radiation Therapy program and Valedictorian at the Associate degree level, delivered the Valedictory address to the Class of 2014. Ashley Daniels, a graduate of the RN-BSN program and Valedictorian at the bachelor degree level delivered the Valedictory address to her classmates.

President Maureen A. Smith and Vice President of Academic Affairs, Albert DeCiccio, Ph.D. presided over the conferring of degrees. Members of the graduating class include one-hundred and sixty Nursing graduates receiving their associate of science degrees; five Radiation Therapy graduates receiving their associate of science degrees; twenty-seven Neurodiagnostic Technology graduates receiving certificates; three Health Information Technology graduates receiving coding certificates and six RN-BSN graduates receiving bachelor of science degrees.

During Commencement week, graduates also attended and were honored at the Class of 2014 Academic Awards Dinner on May 6th and at the Pinning Ceremony on May 7th. Faculty, staff, students and alumni of Labouré College extend congratulations and best wishes to the Class of 2014!
